Lambán will ask Iceta to propose "slowly but surely" a joint candidacy with Catalonia for the 2034 Olympics

MADRID, 26 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of Aragon, Javier Lambán, has announced this Tuesday that he will ask the Minister of Culture and Sports, Miquel Iceta, at the meeting that he will hold at the headquarters of his department to begin to propose "slowly, but surely" a joint candidacy from all the Pyrenees to the 2034 Winter Olympics.

This was stated in statements to the media from the Cervantes Institute in Madrid, where he visited the exhibition 'Ramón J. Sender. Leap Memory'. Later, in the afternoon, Lambán has a meeting with Iceta scheduled.

At this meeting, Lambán will present a "broad agenda" for Aragon, with different issues, such as proposing a joint candidacy for the 2034 winter games, "to start off on the right foot", after the failed candidacy for the celebration of this event in the year 2030.

In addition, the Aragonese president has revealed that he will also discuss with Iceta the expansion of the Zaragoza Museum and the declaration of the jota as UNESCO's intangible heritage.
