Joe Orlando leaves Collectors Universe

Orlando stated that Collectors Universe had been a part of his life for more than 20 years. He said that he was ready to leave the company.

As of immediately, Collectors Universe executive chair Nat Turner has taken over the role as CEO. Since he was part of a group that purchased the company in 2020, Turner has been active in the company and focuses on future planning and decision-making.

Collectors Universe was founded in 1999 by Orlando, who has a passion for collecting sports cards. Although I didn't invent the idea, it feels like I've been there from the beginning. Although third party authentication and grading was not perfect back then and still isn't, it has been an integral part of our hobby's growth. It will be there as the market changes," Orlando stated.

Orlando intends to continue being active into the future. "It was the right time to make a change. I'm looking forward to spending more time with my loved ones and to continuing my hobby, which is my passion. Whatever I do in my professional life, I will always be a collector.
