The Haitian Council of Ministers approved a resolution this Friday in which it urges the head of government, Ariel Henry, to request help from the international community and its Armed Forces to contain the gangs that would be undermining the security situation throughout the country. country.

This has been reflected by the Haitian Government in a publication in the official bulletin of the country collected by 'Gazette Haiti', in which an intervention of foreign forces in Haiti and its military forces is requested to address the humanitarian crisis caused, among other things , "because of the insecurity resulting from the criminal actions of the armed gangs and their sponsors."

In support of its decision, the Council of Ministers has also assured that it is alarmed by the risks of a major humanitarian crisis due to the sudden resurgence of cholera, added to the accelerated deterioration of the security situation throughout the country.

According to this resolution, Ariel Henry must request and obtain from Haiti's international partners "effective support through the immediate deployment of specialized Armed Forces, in sufficient quantity, to stop the humanitarian crisis throughout the country," as reported by 'Le Nouvelliste'.

Likewise, according to the resolution, "this climate of security" must allow the Government to fight "effectively" against cholera, promote the resumption of the distribution of fuel and drinking water throughout the country, the operation of hospitals, the resumption of economic activities, as well as the free movement of people and goods and the reopening of schools.
