Fluidra improves its environmental objectives and ensures that 81% of the energy it uses is renewable

Fluidra has assured that it has exceeded its objectives in several areas in environmental matters, among which is the use of renewable energy, which has reached 81%, compared to the objective of 63% set for this year.

These data have led the company to improve its ambitions for this year and 2026, and it plans to reach 95% of electricity from renewable sources by the end of the period, according to a company statement on Tuesday.

It has also reduced water consumption in its own facilities, with a ratio of consumption of liters of water over sales that has been reduced to 0.056 compared to 0.084 in 2020 and the target of 0.079 set for 2021.

In addition, the percentage of waste sent to landfill has fallen to 25%, compared to the target of 33%.

Fluidra has improved its goal of consumption of liters of water over sales to 0.053 in 2022 and 0.042 in 2026 and the percentage of waste sent to landfill to 20% in 2022 and 15% in 2026.

In the social field, the company has reduced the global accident rate by 62%, compared to the target of 25%, and 43.3% of its suppliers are trained in ESG, compared to the target of 10% set for 2021 and with the goal of 50% in 2022.

The executive president of Fluidra, Eloi Planes, has shown his conviction to achieve the long-term objectives set out in the company's ESG Plan.
