Feijóo proposes an energy saving plan that affects the public sector and recovers the nuclear and thermal supply

The president of the PP, Alberto Nuñez Feijóo, has announced the presentation of an energy saving plan by his party that affects the public sector, considering that both the local and regional administrations are one of the great consumers of energy, he proposes plans "credible" savings that are not impositions and recover the supply of nuclear and thermal energy.

Thus, after the meeting of the Steering Committee of his party, he has reviewed the situation that arises for the fall, has criticized that the Government has not wanted to agree with the PP on any of the measures that it has presented and has announced that the PP will continue to make proposals and among them, it has mentioned that they are finalizing an energy saving plan to favor families and reduce spending.

According to Feijóo, the Government has polished the favorable strategic position that Spain had in energy matters due to Sánchez's "regrettable foreign policy" that has alienated Spain with Algeria and the energy policy based on "ideology abandoning technology".

Thus, he recalled that Sánchez since 2018 has promoted the closure of thermal power plants, put an end to the useful extension of nuclear power plants, has renounced the use of agricultural waste for biogas and established new tax charges for hydraulic plants. Also, he added, he has renounced the electricity and gas interconnections approved by the EU partners.

And, he has specified that "to maintain a good position in energy policy" the opposite of what he has done in previous years must be done, in the first place, he has pointed out, to ensure supplies and for this reason he believes that the contingency plan must have a reformulation of the energy pca. "Focusing only on savings is buying into Russia's blackmailing framework that is based on scarcity," she snapped.
