FAES believes that Von der Leyen is unaware of the Government's "partisan manipulation" of his support for Spain

He denounces that the "media club" of the Government wants to link the head of the visiting Eurochamber delegation with the PP

MADRID, 20 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Foundation for Analysis and Social Studies (FAES) chaired by José María Aznar believes that the President of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, is not aware of the "partisan manipulation" that the Government is doing of its support for Spain .

In a brief article on the occasion of the visit to Spain of a delegation from the European Parliament to analyze the use of European recovery funds, FAES has maintained that "the successive remittances from Brussels only tell half the story", after On Friday the European Commission will announce the payment of a third tranche of 6,000 million euros.

According to the foundation chaired by Aznar, "once in Spain this money is not permeating, nor are strategic projects consolidated, nor is there co-governance."

After "two reports from the CEOE, the dismissal of those responsible for the Ministry of Industry, the hasty and doubtfully effective reinforcement of the fund management apparatus, the marginalization of the autonomous communities", from the Government "it only responds with complacency and I despise any hint of criticism or scrutiny", the article emphasizes.

For FAES, the Executive of Pedro Sánchez, whose "European ego does not admit questioning", is "refugee (...) behind the mockery of Ursula von der Leyen, who may not be fully aware of the partisan manipulation of her support for Spain".

Likewise, the article denounces that before the visit of the delegation of the European Parliament, headed by the head of the Budgetary Control Commission, Monika Hohlmeier, "the game of the government's media baton has been activated to attack Hohlmeier, in an offensive sown with personal insults and gross distortions".

In this sense, FAES recalls that the same thing already happened during the visit made last September by the Justice Commissioner, Didier Reynders, to recall that European doctrine requires that "judges choose judges."

"Reynders was assigned to the PP, when he has always belonged to the European liberals and was presented as a bearer of witticisms at the service of the anti-Sanchista cause, a useless disturbance only thought to favor the PP," laments the article.
