Errejón criticizes the King's speech and says that speaking of "polarization" in the face of the "kidnapping of institutions" is "choosing"

MADRID, 24 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of Más País, Íñigo Errejón, has been critical of King Felipe VI this Saturday after his Christmas speech and has said that speaking of "polarization" in the face of the "kidnapping of institutions" means "choosing".

"Calling the kidnapping of institutions 'polarization' is choosing," he said in a brief message on his account on the social network Twitter, two days after saying that he did not expect "anything" from the speech regarding the "institutional clash" .

In statements to the media in the corridor of Congress, Errejón explained on Thursday that, in his opinion, the situation has to be resolved by "the sovereign institutions that emanate from the popular vote" and, "unfortunately", the Head of State does not is one of them.

During his speech, Felipe VI has appealed to everyone's responsibility to avoid the risk of deterioration of the institutions and coexistence. Likewise, he has warned that divided countries do not advance and of the risk that this entails for democracy, while he has vindicated the Constitution and the Transition.
