The Spanish cyclist Enric Mas (Movistar Team) will not take the start of the nineteenth and penultimate stage of the Tour de France this Friday after testing positive for coronavirus, as confirmed by his team.

"Enric Mas will not start the nineteenth stage of the Tour de France due to positive for COVID. The Mallorcan is in good health. Good luck and take care of yourself," wrote the Movistar Team on its social networks, which on Thursday lost to the same reason to Imanol Erviti.

The Balearic, who had not found his best sensations in the Pyrenean stages of this third week, had left this Thursday the 'Top 10' of the general classification of the 'Grande Boucle' and was eleventh, more than 24 minutes behind the leader, the Danish Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma).
