VILAGARCÍA DE AROUSA (PONTEVEDRA), 30 Sep. (EUROPE PRESS) -

The Second Vice President of the Government and Minister of Labor and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz, has come out this Friday in response to the criticism expressed by the PP regarding the fiscal measures adopted by the Executive, with a message: "I think the key is that the opposition understands that we are in crisis".

The vice president has asked the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, to be "up to the circumstances", for which she has asked him "to study this reform in depth". "For once, let them be useful for our country," he urged the popular.

Yolanda Díaz, who has defined herself as "a great defender of the autonomous model", has assured that "it cannot be that the autonomies are lowering taxes and at the same time are asking all Spaniards to make an extra effort", at one point in which all public resources are "essential".

The Vice President has stated that she is "very satisfied" with the result of this negotiation within the Government. "Although I always defend a structural reform of the public income system, the step we have taken is key," she added.

At the same time, he stressed that "it is the first time" that progress is being made "a little" in fiscal progressivity so that "those who have the most, contribute the most." "We go up and down, which is what has to be done," she has asserted.

Yolanda Díaz assures that, in terms of taxation, "there is still a lot to do." Thus, for example, she has indicated that United We Can also request a reduced VAT for food for celiacs, who are a million families in Spain. "On this issue we have differences of opinion with the Socialist Party but, as always, we are going to continue working," she pointed out.
