Díaz demands in the tax agreement more deduction for the self-employed and low incomes and raise personal income tax for those that exceed 200,000 euros

MADRID, 29 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Vice President of Labor and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz, explained this Thursday morning in Congress that the tax agreement with the PSOE is not yet closed, and that several issues are still up in the air, such as expanding the deduction provided for in income tax for the self-employed and lower incomes, and raise the brackets for incomes from 200,000 euros.

Likewise, it is also negotiated to expand the collection capacity in the Corporation Tax, the VAT reduction in menstrual hygiene products, and the creation of a new tax on large fortunes and avoid its exemption by the autonomous communities.

"If there is agreement on these four issues, we would be in a position to close the part of public revenue, but at the moment there is no agreement," he said. In any case, Ella Díaz has assured that she is "sure" of being able to reach an agreement with her partner, with whom she is still negotiating.

The reduction of VAT on celiac products, said Díaz, one of the demands of the confederal group, has been excluded from the negotiation. "From minute one the PSOE has dismissed it" and this possibility "has been closed."

The agreement on fiscal matters, Díaz explained, would close the first part of the negotiations for new General State Budgets for 2023, since from then on the partners of the Executive will try to close the part dedicated to investments and expenses.
