The Ministry of Finance and Public Function has distributed a total of 83,457 million euros in payments on account to the autonomous communities between January and September 2022, being Catalonia and Andalusia, with 15,698.86 and 15,539.59 million, respectively, the communities that have received the most money so far this year. Third place is occupied by Madrid, with 11,774.76 million.
This income corresponds to the regional financing system, which operates through payments on account of the tax resources that are estimated to be deposited throughout the year as personal income tax and the percentages established by the law that corresponds to VAT and Special Taxes and that the central State advances.
According to the data provided by the portfolio headed by María Jesús Montero, the fourth autonomous community that has received the most is the Valencian Community (7,633.97 million euros), behind which are Galicia (5,996); Castile and Leon (5,146.75); Castilla-La Mancha (3,961.36) and the Canary Islands (3,742.95).
The next in the table is Aragón (2,868.74), followed by Murcia (2,536.96); Extremadura (2,456.49); Asturias (2,170.35); Balearic Islands (1,601.47); Cantabria (1,475.72); La Rioja (796.15); Ceuta (31.62); and Melilla (25.32).
This Thursday the second payment for the month of September was paid, with deliveries this month amounting to 9,273 million euros compared to 8,721 last year.
