The German group BMW recorded a global sales volume of 1.16 million vehicles during the first half of the year, which represents a decrease of 13.3% compared to the same period in 2021, when it registered historical highs, according to reported this Friday the company, which doubled its deliveries of electrified models.

BMW worldwide registrations in the second quarter of the year reached a volume of 563,536 units, a 19.8% decrease compared to the data for the same period of the previous year.

By brands, BMW cut its global registrations by 13.7% in the first half of 2022, with 1.01 million units, while in the second quarter the firm's deliveries contracted by 19.6%, to 496,745 units .

Mini, for its part, sold 81,198 units in all the markets in which it operates in the accumulated figure for the year until last month, 2.6% less, and 42,143 units between April and June, 7.3% less.

Rolls-Royce global deliveries rose 6.8% through June to 3,191 units and fell 2.6% in the second quarter to 1,567 units, while the motorcycle division decreased its sales 0.1%. enrollments in the semester, with 107,555 units, and 7.5% in the second quarter of 2022, with 65,018 units.

On the other hand, the consortium ended the first six months of the year with 184,553 electrified vehicles (electric and plug-in hybrids) marketed, which represents an increase of 20.4%. Between April and June, the sales figure for this type of model improved by 85.2%, to 40,602 units.
