BlackRock bursts into the capital of Acciona with 3% of the capital

MADRID, 13 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Blackrock has become part of the capital of Acciona, after acquiring a package of shares indirectly and through financial instruments, until concentrating 3% of the capital of the Spanish infrastructure and energy company.

According to the records of the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), the US investment giant crossed this 3% threshold last Friday, thus becoming the only majority shareholder outside the Entrecanales family.

Specifically, it has 1.36 million indirect shares, 209,000 securities on loan and another 74,000 in contracts for difference (CFD), which adds up to a total of 1.65 million shares, with a current market value of 300 million of euros.

According to the data published on the portal of the stock market supervisor, this is the first time that BlackRock is part of Acciona's capital, after having made its 3% stake public this Friday.

Another manager, Millennium Management, also broke into the shareholding of Acciona two weeks ago, by acquiring 1% of the capital, although it has already undone this position and no longer has any shares in its possession.

For this reason, BlackRock now becomes the third largest shareholder of the Spanish energy and construction group, only behind the investment of the Entrecanales family, structured through two companies: Tussen de Grachten, with 29% of the capital, and Wit Europese, with 26%.

Acciona shareholders will receive a dividend of 4.1 euros per share on July 7, which will represent a growth of 5% compared to the 3.9 euros that were delivered in 2020, also being the highest dividend delivered since 2014, since in recent years it has always moved between 1.9 and 3.9 euros per share.
