Asedas, the employers of the Mercadona or Dia supermarkets, support Garamendi's candidacy for the presidency of CEOE

The Spanish Association of Distributors, Supermarkets and Supermarkets (Asedas), which counts Mercadona, Dia, Coviran, Alimerka and Salvamas, among others, among its associates, has expressed its support for the candidacy of Antonio Garamendi for the presidency of CEOE.

Specifically, the companies that are part of the association have positively valued the work carried out by Garamendi over the last four years in defense of the work of the business fabric as a driver of wealth and employment creation, in addition to its negotiating spirit and its commitment to social dialogue.

They also highlighted the modernization process that CEOE has undertaken to put the organization at the service of society and companies by listening to the challenges faced by the different economic sectors.

In this sense, Asedas has highlighted the "special sensitivity" that the current president of CEOE has shown towards trade, recognizing it as one of the main engines of job creation, economic growth and territorial structuring of the country.

"The creation under his mandate of the Committee on Competitiveness, Commerce and Consumption-C4 in CEOE has served to put this sector at the forefront of the organization's work, among other things, with the drafting of several very useful studies to advance in solving problems such as multi-recurrence theft or regulatory pressure", they have highlighted from the supermarket employers.
