Arrimadas points out that Oltra's situation is "absolutely unsustainable" and asks her to resign or Puig to dismiss her

MADRID, 16 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of Ciudadanos, Inés Arrimadas, stated this Thursday that the situation of the vice president of the Valencian Government, Mónica Oltra, who has been charged with the alleged cover-up of sexual abuse by her ex-husband of a minor under guardianship, is "absolutely unsustainable" , at the time that he has asked that he resign or be dismissed.

Through his account on the social network Twitter, where the news has been echoed, Arrimadas has asked Oltra to "resign immediately". Otherwise, he has asked the Valencian president, Ximo Puig, to dismiss her. "Enough is enough," he added.

The deputy secretary general of Ciudadanos, Edmundo Bal, has also criticized Oltra and has assured that "using the institutions to hide very serious crimes such as child abuse is a totally immoral form of corruption."

In the same social network, he has called it "shameful" that the PSOE keeps Oltra in the position of vice president and that "the progressive government remains silent."

The Civil and Criminal Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV) has charged the vice president to Oltra for the alleged cover-up of sexual abuse by her ex-husband to a minor under guardianship. She will testify on July 6.

Specifically, this procedure investigates the alleged cover-up of the sexual abuse suffered by a 14-year-old minor in a shelter at the hands of Oltra's ex-husband between 2016 and 2017. The educator was sentenced to five years in prison in a resolution ratified by the TSJCV.
