Arrimadas criticizes the extreme defense of the PSOE to Chaves and Griñán: "If they were from another party, Troy would be burning"

MADRID, 26 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of Ciudadanos, Inés Arrimadas, considers it "incredible" that the PSOE has defended "until the end" the former presidents of the Junta de Andalucía Manuel Chaves and José Antonio Griñán in the case of the ERE. "If they were from another party, Troy would be burning," she commented.

This is how Arrimadas has reacted after learning of the decision of the Supreme Court to confirm the sentence that the Provincial Court of Seville imposed on the former presidents of the PSOE and that forces Griñán to be imprisoned.

The Provincial Court of Seville sentenced Griñán for a continued crime of prevarication to 10 years of disqualification from employment or public office and in medial competition with a continued crime of embezzlement, to 6 years in prison and absolute disqualification for a period of 20 years. In the case of Chaves, his sentence was 10 years of disqualification from employment or public office for a continued crime of prevarication.

"Thanks to Citizens, these gentlemen are not yet in office in Andalusia. We were the ones who asked them to leave and it is incredible that the PSOE is defending them until the end," Arrimadas told Europa Press.

In his opinion, this case demonstrates once again that "bipartisanship never criticizes anything" if the corruption is its own and only does so if it affects the "opposite" party. "If this were from another party, Troy would be burning", he added.

In addition, he has shown his desire that this penalize the PSOE and people know that while there are politicians and parties that "fight against corruption" and are "relentless" and "others defend it as long as they are their friends". "Today is a good day to remember that not all parties act the same and not all are the same", he settled.
