The Spanish climber Alberto Ginés won the bronze medal this Sunday in the difficulty final at the European Championships that are taking place in Munich (Germany), so the man from Cáceres adds his third great medal at 19 years of age after the gold at the Tokyo Olympics and silver at the continental competition in Edinburgh in 2019.

Ginés got into the final with the fourth best time and, despite his youth, he did not wrinkle on the decisive day and managed to get on a podium led by the Czech Adam Ondra, followed by the Slovenian Luka Potocar, both with 37.1. Thus, the Spanish finished third by scoring 35.1.

The Olympic champion could not reissue the second place harvested in the 2019 European Championship, where he won his first major medal. However, the climber managed in Munich to leave behind the injury suffered at the World Cup in Salt Lake City (United States), which prevented him from competing in the last three months, to take another medal to his record.
