Abascal criticizes the "prohibitions" to save energy and accuses the Government of "twisting" the unemployment data

MADRID, 2 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, has charged this Tuesday against the Government for resorting to new "prohibitions" in its energy saving plan and has also accused the Executive of "twisting the statistics", in this case the unemployment of the month of July, "to hide reality".

Abascal has used his Twitter account to position himself on the energy saving and efficiency measures approved by the Council of Ministers and also to react to the data released this Tuesday that reflect that unemployment increased by 3,230 people in July, a 0, 1% more than in June.

"Every minute a new ban. What the government must do is change the dependent and suicidal energy policy that impoverishes us and forces Spaniards to pay for energy at the price of gold," he said, regarding the energy saving plan that it imposes maximum temperatures and lighting for public buildings, shops and hotels.

In another message, collected by Europa Press, Abascal has replied to the statements of the economic vice president, Nadia Calviño, betting on stopping analyzing the monthly unemployment figures, as was done before the labor reform, and observing the underlying trends.

And it is that, according to Calviño, although the data for July reflect a slowdown in the labor market in the second part of the month, it cannot be denied that there is already a change in trend. Also from the Ministry of Labor they have highlighted that unemployment has been reduced by 532,683 people in July, the largest year-on-year drop.

For Abascal, with these interpretations it is clear that the government parties "laugh at everyone." "The only underlying trend that Spaniards perceive is that of a permanent ruin in which the socialist party and its media terminals twist the statistics to hide reality," he denounced.
