A total of 116 companies present projects to the Industry 'Activa Financing' program for 64 million

MADRID, 23 May. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The new call for the aid line for the Connected Industry 4.0 initiative, 'Activa Financing', has received 129 applications this year from 116 companies for a total amount of 64 million euros, as reported on Monday by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.

The 129 projects presented cover advanced data processing, artificial intelligence, industrial simulation, and augmented reality and robotics, among others.

This program has two lines of action, Activa-Pymes, dedicated to projects carried out by small and medium-sized companies, and Activa-Large implementations, to support projects carried out by any type of company.

Of the total requests received, 85 correspond to the Active SME line and 44 to the Active Large implementations line. This call is framed and co-financed within the Recovery Plan.

From the year 2021, this line of aid can be received in the form of a repayable loan or be a combination of a loan and a grant.

According to the department headed by Reyes Maroto, Catalonia has been the autonomous community with the highest number of applications, a total of 60, followed by Andalusia, with 15.

Industry will resolve the call in the coming weeks and will announce the projects that have been beneficiaries of it.
