Technical Director of Samsung NEXT: decentralisation stands for freedom

That the Blockchain technology can do far more to offer than "just" crypto-currencies such as Bitcoin or Ether, the technological basis, is likely to be too Many already passed. Applications in Online systems, Supply Chain, or identity management are just a few examples. One of the outstanding features of the move away from Central institutions is sure to self-government and decentralisation. The also, Ricardo J. Méndez, technical Director at Samsung Next realized now. So he continued in an Interview with Jaxcenter the opportunities of decentralization even on the technology. So he said to the magazine:

"In the case of decentralisation, it is about freedom, flexibility and choice. Technically, it's about to shift activities away from centralized control towards a network of participants, acting on the basis of a common Protocol. It shifts the balance of power back to the user, gives him the choice between the providers and a Plethora of approaches and perspectives.“

he Also predicts an easing of the Ecosystem. He proceeds on the assumption that the market is cleaned up by speculators, and it comes to a more stable ground for the technology:

"The dizzying crypto currency prices in recent years brought the idea of the Blockchain in the Mainstream. This also brought a lot of "gamers" – that is, people who are more interested in making money quickly to solve a Problem. It was a magic word for the people to have the common sense to short-circuit and massive sums of money to collect. I would predict that these speculators and opportunists will start to pull in other climes. As a result, the noise in the Ecosystem is reduced. The remaining Teams need to focus on the development of functioning Software and concrete applications.“

So, Méndez sees the great Potential of the Blockchain for the field of privacy — but with limitations:

"I think there can be no privacy, if all the information flow through a centralized System. Even if the largest part would be encrypted, it would be sensitive to the meta-analysis of data by the Central supervisors. Alone the prosecution, who with whom, when, and how often it communicates, reveals to much. It [the Blockchain] is not an absolute guarantee. You must only have the most crypto – currencies view, on a fully decentralised basis, but also 100 percent of the public-its Pseudonymity must just be broken Peer-to-Peer approaches require that you transfer your activities to Peers, so that they require an additional level of privacy (such as a VPN or a mixed network). Therefore, we must be able as an industry to the users of the trade-offs of different approaches to explain better.“
