Vice closes a round of 17 million with the participation of Messi and Griezmann

BARCELONA, 4 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The 'fast food' chain at home Vice has closed a round of financing of 17 million euros, which has been led by Iris Ventures and in which the footballers Leo Messi and Antoine Griezmann and the investment vehicles of Javier Rubió have participated.

The company explained in a statement on Tuesday that the funds will serve to accelerate its expansion and growth plan, increase the workforce and continue "its work of technological and product improvement".

Vice CEO Alex Puig explained that this round "represents validation" of the company's approach and its business model and, in his words, allows it to take a leap in level.

The 'managing partner' of Iris Ventures, Montse Suárez, has pointed out that Vice is "a culturally relevant brand, with a personality that connects and unites its community".

Currently, Vice is present in Barcelona and Madrid -in which it has 15 locations- and the company plans to expand its market to "the main Spanish cities", and closed 2022 with a turnover of 20 million euros.
