Two hearses arrive at the Valley of the Fallen for the exhumation of Primo de Rivera

MADRID, 24 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The work for the exhumation of José Antonio Primo de Rivera began this Monday in the Valley of the Fallen, where at least two funeral vehicles have arrived to proceed with the transfer of the mortal remains of the founder of the Falange to the Madrid cemetery of San Isidro, in which they will be buried again.

The movement of vehicles has been continuous since early in the morning at the access door to the compound, which is guarded by agents of the Civil Guard and where more than thirty journalists are located, without the presence of protesters.

The arrival of the hearses occurred minutes before eight in the morning and in these vehicles the remains of the founder of the Falange will be transported, in what will be his fifth burial since he was shot after being tried by the republican authorities in 1936 in Alicante jail, 86 years ago.

Precisely this Monday marks the 120th anniversary of the birth of the Falangist leader, on April 24, 1903, whose mortal remains will leave the Valley in compliance with the Democratic Memory Law and after an agreement with his relatives.
