Trump leaves Trump Tower for Manhattan courthouse

MADRID, 4 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The former president of the United States Donald Trump has already left the Trump Tower, a skyscraper he owns located in the heart of Manhattan, heading to the district court in which the charges will be read for the case of alleged bribery of the movie actress porn Stephanie Clifford, known as Stormy Daniels.

The ex-president already traveled on Monday from his mansion in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, to New York. His presence in downtown Manhattan has led dozens of like-minded people to gather in the vicinity of the court, although the authorities have assured that there are no "credible threats" before the reading of charges.

Trump was indicted last week for the possible secret payment of $130,000 (more than 120,000 euros) to Clifford by former president Michael Cohen's former lawyer. Trump has thus become the first former US president to be charged, which could end his aspirations to return to the White House in the elections scheduled for 2024.
