LAS PALMAS DE GRAN CANARIA, June 21 (EUROPA PRESS) -

The emergency services have recovered in the central hours of this Wednesday the lifeless body of a minor who was traveling in a boat along with 24 other people who were rescued in the last hours by Morocco when they were about 40 miles west of the Alauí coast and 88 miles southeast of Gran Canaria.

According to sources from Maritime Rescue reported to Europa Press, the events took place around 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday when a notice warned of the departure of an irregular vessel from the African coasts, being located by the Sasemar 101 plane.

In this sense, it was the Rabat rescue center that coordinated the rescue and sent the Moroccan patrol boat 'Al Manar' to the area, which at around 6:20 a.m. rescued 24 people, some of them from the water.

Subsequently, Rabat requested Maritime Rescue to send resources in search of possible survivors and the Helimer 201 helicopter was sent, which located the body of a minor.

Lastly, not noticing any more bodies or survivors in the area, the helicopter headed for the Gran Canaria Airport, where it arrived at around 1:20 p.m.
