The PSOE denounces "unlimited harassment" of Marlaska for his disapproval after the murder of the two civil guards

MADRID, 24 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The PSOE spokesman in the Senate, Juan Espadas, has denounced "unlimited harassment" by the PP towards the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, for his disapproval in the Senate and his attempt in Congress after the murder of the two Civil Guard agents after being attacked by a drug boat in the port of Barbate (Cádiz).

In an interview on RNE's 'Parliament' program, collected by Europa Press, Espadas has reproached the PP for raising the disapproval in both Chambers "as a consequence of these two murders in the conditions in which they occurred", beyond the fact that The parties think about whether the minister does it better or worse.

"We find it absolutely unacceptable that the murder of two civil guards is taken advantage of and used to create this scandal, it is a political use to seek Marlaska's head," Espadas said.

In this way he has also justified the abstention in the Senate of the Government's parliamentary partners such as ERC, Junts or Bildu, who, from his point of view, "understood that it was not the reason that could justify any type of disapproval."

When asked if he fears that the PP will begin to disapprove several ministers, Espadas has warned that "you have to choose very well when using a resource of this type because it has to be very justified and cannot be a political instrument of wear and tear without further".
