The president of the Parliament of Navarra, Unai Hualde, has announced that this Thursday he will propose to the Board and Board of Spokespersons of the Legislative Branch the candidacy of the socialist María Chivite for the Presidency of the Government of Navarra, after holding this Wednesday the round of consultations with all the political parties and once PSN, Geroa Bai and Contigo-Zurekin have signed their government agreement.

In addition, Unai Hualde will propose that the investiture debate be held on Saturday, shortening the 72-hour period initially provided between the candidacy proposal and the debate.

The same Saturday afternoon the first vote for the investiture would take place, although it will not prosper, since an absolute majority is necessary. Thus, 24 hours later, the second vote would take place, in which a simple majority is sufficient, and Chivite could be invested with the abstention of EH Bildu, pending what the militancy of the abertzale formation decides in the consultation that celebrate this wednesday

Unai Hualde has explained that the regulation of the Parliament of Navarra, in article 196, establishes that the session to invest the candidate must be held with a three-day margin, but has indicated that, "because it is a period not provided for in the Improvement, except in the regulation, is likely to be reduced in two ways, by decision of the Presidency of Parliament or by decision of the Board".

Therefore, he explained that in the Table and Board of Spokespersons this Thursday "that call for the investiture plenary session will be proposed on Saturday in use of those articles, duly supported by the services of the Chamber and by the need to carry out the investiture debate as soon as possible, because we must leave room for it to be unsuccessful in order to process subsequent investiture proposals".
