The PP councilor in Barcelona, ​​Daniel Sirera, has confirmed that the PP and Junts met in the first fortnight of August, after the general elections of June 23, to negotiate the investiture of Alberto Núñez Feijóo, but that what Junts asked of them "It was impossible to accept."

In an interview with Rac 1, collected by Europa Press, he explained that the meeting was a coffee and that he came away from it "aware that it was impossible to start any negotiations with Junts."

"They were not asking for the expansion of the airport, nor improvements in Rodalies, nor better financing. Only amnesty, a referendum and these things. It was unviable," he insisted.

The councilor indicated that at that time, after the general elections, there were many people concerned about the fact that the PSOE continued to govern: "Those days we spoke with many people of all kinds who asked us what we could do to reach an agreement between Junts and the PP and prevent Sánchez from continuing to be president," he assured.

Furthermore, he has criticized the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, for having accepted what Junts asked for: "Sánchez represents lying with legs. Even the people of Junts are aware that he is a compulsive liar and not very trustworthy."

"If we had surrendered at Waterloo, as the PSOE has done, Feijóo would be president, but we have principles that the socialists do not have," he added.
