The Palestinian Prime Minister maintains that "security solutions" from the international community "will not work"

MADRID, 9 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Palestinian Foreign Minister, Riad al Maliki, urged the international community this Sunday to prevent "the Israeli war machine" from killing "every Palestinian in Gaza" during its attacks in response to the assault by the Islamic Resistance Movement ( Hamas).

"Our people are under siege in the Gaza Strip, and to prevent the continuation of this brutal aggression against our people, which has lasted for 75 years, (...) Al Maliki has communicated with many of his Arab counterparts in order to provide the necessary political support," reads a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the same time, he has criticized the international community for "not assuming its responsibilities" and ignoring the calls of Palestine and has asked not to forget "the crimes that occur daily" in the West Bank.

This position is what he explained to his German, Spanish, Turkish, British, Canadian and Polish counterparts during a series of calls.

For his part, the Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohamad Shtayé, has stated that "the security solutions" adopted by the international community "will not work", and that the only solution is to "end the occupation."
