The Israeli Army confirms the death of more than a hundred soldiers since the beginning of the offensive in Gaza

MADRID, 11 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Israeli Army confirmed this Monday morning the death of four soldiers during the fighting in the Gaza Strip, which brings the death toll in the ground offensive to 101 since it began on October 27.

Thus, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have published on its website the names of the deceased, who are Major General Gideon Ilani, 35 years old, Major General Etay Perry, 36 years old, Commander Eviatar Cohen, 42 years old, and Commander Gal Becher, 34 years old.

On Sunday, the IDF confirmed that 425 of its soldiers had been killed and another 1,593 wounded since the start of the war against the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on October 7. Of the 1,593 injured, 255 are in serious condition, 446 in moderate condition and 892 in minor condition.

Likewise, the Army stated that 97 soldiers had died and 559 had been injured since last October 27, when it began its entry by land into the Gaza Strip. Of the injured, 127 are in serious condition, 213 in moderate condition and 219 in minor condition.

The Israeli Army clarifies that all these figures concern soldiers whose families or relevant authorities have given permission for the publication of their status.

Nearly 18,000 Palestinians have died in the ground and air offensive against the Strip, which occurred in response to the Hamas assault on October 7 that left some 1,200 dead and 240 hostages. Likewise, the intensification of attacks by the Army and settlers in the West Bank have left more than 260 Palestinians dead since then.
