The first day of FIMA in Zaragoza begins with retentions and mobilizations, but without tractors that impede the passage

The International Agricultural Machinery Fair (FIMA) began this Tuesday with delays of several minutes on the access roads and with mobilizations of farmers and ranchers who, however, are not blocking the way for the moment, although they have done so for a few minutes around 09:00 am.

Thus, dozens of protesters dressed in vests have arrived near the Zaragoza Fair, but without tractors to prevent the passage to FIMA.

The Civil Traffic Guard is in the area regulating access to the Zaragoza Fair.

The agricultural organizations confirmed this Monday that they were calling off the 'tractorada' during the FIMA celebration, although they will gather this Tuesday inside, at the UAGA stand.

Professionals in the primary sector have been mobilizing since last Tuesday, February 6, in defense of a "fair and flexible" Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), less bureaucracy, fair prices and a relaxation of environmental and animal protection regulations or that The EU does not sign agreements with third countries with requirements lower than the European ones.

FIMA takes place from February 13 to 17 and will have the presence of 1,237 brands from 35 countries on five continents, of which 420 are foreign and 817 are Spanish. They are distributed in nine pavilions with an exhibition area of ​​more than 100,000 square meters.
