The eighth night of protests in Ferraz results in one detainee and an injured journalist

Nearly 4,000 people gathered for the eighth night on Ferraz Street in Madrid, in front of the PSOE headquarters, to protest against the amnesty law and the pacts with the independence groups. The concentration has resulted in one detainee and an injured journalist.

Carrying Spanish flags - some with the shield cut out -, and amid shouts of 'Sánchez to prison' and in favor of the unity of Spain, the demonstration that began around 7:00 p.m. has developed normally.

However, around 10:00 p.m., as has been usual throughout the week, the tension has been increasing until finally around 11:30 p.m. the National Police agents have begun to disperse the protesters.

The most radical protesters have begun to stand in the front row and, with their faces covered, have begun to throw firecrackers, glass and other types of objects at the agents and the press, even injuring a journalist from La Sexta, who One of the objects has hit the nose.

There have also been fascist chants and gestures, with pre-constitutional flags and a container has been burned. Through a megaphone, the Police have been asking people not to throw objects.

Given this, police reinforcements have increased, while the protesters continued to challenge the State Security Forces and Corps, shouting 'police defend your nation' and throwing smoke canisters towards where the press was located.

It was not until 00:30 that the National Police began to remove the police line from Ferraz Street and traffic resumed.

Among the most proclaimed slogans, shouts directed towards the current acting President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, have been heard on numerous occasions. Although the protesters have also made allusions to the party led by Alberto Núñez Feijóo, with chants such as 'PSOE, PP, it's the same shit'.

Regarding the monarchy, they have asked the head of state, Felipe VI, to act and defend the unity of the country.

Among the protesters on this day was also the spokesperson for the neo-Nazi group Hogar Social de Madrid, Melisa Rodríguez.
