The head of the local Administration, Oleksandr Vilkuk, has indicated in a message on Telegram that "there are already twelve (fatal) victims" after the death of a 67-year-old man due to the seriousness of the injuries sustained in the attack, which called a "terrorist projectile attack".

"Work continues to eliminate the consequences of the attack. The necessary attention is being given to the victims," ​​he pointed out, before stressing that "all the important infrastructure of the city, public transport, social and medical institutions, operate in an stable".

Likewise, he has asserted that the water supply in the city, located in the province of Dnipropetrovsk (east), "is carried out exclusively through reserves" and has stressed the importance of "not forgetting the need for a maximum savings".

Hours earlier, the Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres, had condemned the attack and insisted that International Humanitarian Law must be respected. Thus, he has indicated that "constant care must be taken to prevent civilians and civilian infrastructure from suffering further damage," according to his spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric.
