IRAN ANNOUNCES THE "DESTRUCTION" OF "TERRORIST" TARGETS AND MOSSAD

Shortly before, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard - a branch of the Iranian Armed Forces - announced the "destruction of the meeting places of the commanders and main elements related to the recent terrorist crimes" located in Syria, "as well as the headquarters of espionage" by Israel in the Kurdistan region.

"In response to the recent crimes of terrorist groups that unjustly martyred a group of our beloved compatriots in Kerman and Rask, the Revolutionary Guard has attacked facilities of commanders and main elements related to terrorist operations. In particular, Islamic State has been identified in the occupied territories of Syria and destroyed them by firing a series of missiles," reports the IRNA news agency.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has reported "violent explosions" in the city of Aleppo and its surroundings as a result of the fall of at least four missiles. It is worth mentioning that parts of Aleppo are controlled by the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al Sham (HTS), heir to the Al Nusra Front, a former affiliate of Al Qaeda in Syria.

At the beginning of the month, Islamic State claimed responsibility for an attack in the city of Kerman in which suicide bombers blew themselves up near the tomb of General Qasem Soleimani in Kerman (south), leaving more than 90 dead. This attack took place two weeks after twelve Iranian police officers were killed in an attack by the Sunni terrorist group Jaish al Adl against a police station in the city of Rask, located near the Pakistan border.

In addition, Sede Razi Mousavi, a senior member of Iran's Revolutionary Guard in Syria and close to Soleimani, was killed three weeks ago in an Israeli attack carried out in the Syrian capital, Damascus. His death occurred in the context of the constant attacks by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the Gaza Strip, which have left more than 24,100 Palestinians dead, in response to the unprecedented offensive launched on October 7 by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
