Soto Grado will whistle the Cup quarterfinal derby between Real Madrid and Atlético

   MADRID, 23 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The referee César Soto Grado, from the La Rioja Referees Committee, will be in charge of directing the derby of the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey between Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid this Thursday (9:00 p.m.), according to informed the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) this Monday.

The referee from Avila, who made his debut in the First Division in the 2019-2020 season, will whistle his second derby, after the one played at the Metropolitano in May 2022, which ended with a rojiblanca victory (1-0). In the Cup duel this Thursday he will be accompanied in the VAR by José Luis González González.

On the other hand, Jesús Gil Manzano from Extremadura will be the referee of FC Barcelona-Real Sociedad, also in the quarterfinals of the KO tournament, which will be held this Wednesday (9:00 p.m.). José María Sánchez Martínez will be in the VAR in the duel between the Catalans and the Basques for a place in the semifinals.

Finally, Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea, from the Biscayne Committee, will whistle the Osasuna-Sevilla on Wednesday (10:00 p.m.), with Xavier Estrada Fernández in the VAR; and Carlos del Cerro Grande from Madrid will direct the Valencia-Athletic Club this Thursday (8:00 p.m.), with the help of Santiago Jaime Latre in Video Arbitration.
