Sánchez seeks to maintain a seat in Huesca and asks the progressive voter not to "mislead" the vote

He accuses Feijóo of lying about the revaluation of pensions: "He does not tell the truth or to the doctor"

HUESCA, July 17 (EUROPA PRESS) -

The President of the Government and PSOE candidate for the general elections, Pedro Sánchez, has appealed to the progressive voter in the province of Huesca to support the Socialists and thus not "mislead the vote", as the best option to prevent a right wing government He has also accused the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, of lying about the revaluation of pensions and has snapped at him: "He doesn't even tell the truth to the doctor."

Sánchez has interrupted his presence at the EU Celac summit in which numerous leaders from Latin America and Europe participate to attend this event in the Aragonese city, already in the last week of the electoral campaign.

He has made a lightning trip from Brussels to arrive at the event and after finishing his speech he returns to the community capital to continue his agenda tomorrow at the summit, in which he plays a prominent role since Spain holds the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU. Sánchez has made both journeys on a private flight, according to sources from Moncloa.

Before 1,300 socialist sympathizers, according to figures provided by the party leadership, Sánchez has called for the mobilization and concentration of the progressive vote in the PSOE in this province. "Not one vote can stay at home, nor can we mislead the vote," he warned.

"We all have to vote so that whatever loses, the only setback that exists is that of the Popular Party's lie with Vox and those who win are the Spaniards with four more years of progress, in conquests, in rights and in freedoms," he said. indicated.

This has been addressed directly to those who on May 28 in the regional and municipal elections voted progressive but not the PSOE "here in Huesca", as indicated. Sánchez has told them that the vote for the PSOE has a double value, because it is the only one that stops PP and Vox and also guarantees four more years of social progress, as he has stated.

"That is why I ask for the vote of all the progressives of Huesca for the Socialist Party. One day, to be able to govern and continue consolidating the votes or social advances for the next four years," he insisted.

In this regard, from the leadership of the PSOE they indicate that these acts included at the last minute in the president's agenda represent a last campaign effort in provinces where there is a deputy who can opt for a handful of votes.

Huesca distributes three seats and currently the PSOE has two and the PP one. So that the Socialists have focused on this constituency to maintain the current situation and that the 'popular' do not achieve a second deputy. For this reason, Sánchez has launched a useful vote message and avoid losing votes to the left that have a difficult time getting their own seat.

On the other hand, the head of the Executive has charged against Feijóo and has accused him of deceiving with his statements about the revaluation of pensions. "You have to have rennet to lie so much", he has launched.

Thus, he has rejected that the PP revalue pensioners' payments according to the CPI when he was in government, as Feijóo stated in an interview this Monday. "He does not tell the truth or the doctor," he added.

Hours after the aforementioned interview, Feijóo qualified his statement that the PP "always" raised pensions according to the CPI and later pointed out that his party "raised them every year", without linking that increase to inflation.

In any case, Sánchez has indicated that the 10 million pensioners in Spain have to know that PP and Vox "have systematically voted against the revaluation of pensions" linked to the rise in the cost of living. In addition, he has once again blamed Feijóo for traveling to Brussels to try to boycott the pension reform that the Sánchez government agreed with the European Commission.

Finally, Sánchez has once again charged against the polls, which he has described as "interested forecasts", after this morning he affirmed that behind the results they showed there was an attempt to "demobilize" the progressive electorate.

Thus, he has pointed out that the same "interested forecasts", as he has repeated, said in 2014 and 2015, when he arrived at the General Secretariat of the PSOE, that they would suffer a sorpasso at the hands of Podemos. "And we broke those bad forecasts and here is the Socialist Party", he exclaimed.

Finally, the Minister of Education and Vocational Training and head of the list for Zaragoza, Pilar Alegría, who has participated in the event before Sánchez, has also mentioned Feijóo's "lies" about pensions, about economic data and also about his "bonus" that you have asked me to explain.

In addition, he has made a reference to Feijóo's "seafaring companies", in a veiled reference to his 1995 photo on a yacht with the convicted drug trafficker Marcial Dorado.

This same Monday, another member of the socialist wing of the Government and PSOE candidate for Madrid, the third vice president, Teresa Ribera, has also referred to this matter when questioning Feijóo if he does not attend an electoral debate on TVE because he has to "hide " a "drug dealer on a yacht".

"What do you have to hide, Mr. Feijóo? Why don't you want to go? Are you a drug trafficker on a yacht? Is your management at the head of the Xunta de Galicia? Is it your lack of ideas?" has indicated in statements to the media.
