Sánchez boasts of the Basque vote to the investiture bloc and Feijóo sees the president as "inseparable" from the independence movement

MADRID, 24 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, accused this Wednesday the head of the Executive of being "inseparable" from the independence movement and turning the PSOE into a "dwindling party" and "subaltern" of it, showing himself convinced that "he will end up handing over the Government to the independentists" in Catalonia after the elections of May 12. For his part, Pedro Sánchez has boasted of the support of the Basques in Sunday's elections to the investiture bloc.

"Nine out of ten votes last Sunday in Euskadi went to political parties that supported this investiture and this Government and the policies that we are deploying during these months of the legislature. Nine out of ten. That is the result of the policy of confrontation, of misinformation and hoaxes that you are practicing. We beat you nine to one," he snapped at Feijóo in the Government control session.

In his reply, Feijóo pointed out that with Sánchez "the independentists have the last word." "You are to the independence movement what Koldo is to the PSOE, inseparable," he told Sánchez, to warn him that he is "irrelevant" territorially.
