The tenth Christmas message from King Felipe VI registered an average audience of 6,044 viewers, which represents a decrease of 673,000 viewers (-10%), according to Kantar data provided by Barlovento Comunicación.

This year's message from the King registered a 64.1% audience share among the total of 30 channels that broadcast the speech live, which also represents a decrease of half a point in audience share compared to the previous year.

In addition, total television consumption was 9.4 million, a decrease of almost 1 million (-9%) compared to the 2022 message (10.4 million).

Felipe VI's 2023 message began at 9:00 p.m., lasted 12 minutes and 59 seconds, and the text of the message contained 1,467 words.

Regarding the profile of the audience, the speech was followed by 65% ​​of women and 62% of men and, by age, 65% of those over 65 followed the words of the King, 64,/ % of adults between 45 and 64 years old and 64.6% of those between 15 and 44 years old.

Felipe VI's Christmas message was the second least watched, after the one broadcast in 2016 in which it reached a screen share of 57.6% and was followed by 5.8 million viewers.
