The board of directors of the State Society of Industrial Participations (SEPI) has approved this Thursday the proposals for the presidencies of Correos, Sepides, Mayasa and Hipódromo de la Zarzuela, companies of the public 'holding' majority owned, which will later hold the councils of administration with which the appointment processes will culminate.

In the Correos Group, the new president will be Pedro Saura García, who replaces Juan Manuel Serrano in the position. Graduated in Economic Sciences from the University of Valencia, with an extraordinary bachelor's degree award and a doctorate in Economics from the University of Murcia, Saura has been president of Paradores and held the position of Secretary of State for Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, and president of Enaire from 2018 to 2021.

Previously he directed the public company Sepes, he was general director of Economy and Planning and sectoral secretary of Economy and Finance in the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.

He has been spokesperson for Economy, Finance and Budgets, in different legislatures in the Congress of Deputies and also in the Regional Assembly of Murcia.

In the Sepides Group, the State Company has proposed Francisco Antonio Blanco Ángel to replace Antonio Cervera. Blanco, with a degree in Economics and Business Sciences and a doctorate in Economics, has been Secretary General of Industry and Small and Medium Enterprises.

In 2015 he was appointed Minister of Employment, Industry and Tourism of the Government of the Principality of Asturias. Previously, he was General Economic and Financial Director of the Gijón City Council (2007-2011), responsible for the areas of budgets, taxation, accounting and assets, and a councilor in the Gijón City Council from 2011 to 2015, a position that he combined with his tasks as teacher.

In addition, he has held different positions in various organizations, such as president of the Institute for Economic Development of the Principality of Asturias, the Public Society for Tourism and Cultural Management and Promotion and the Foreign Promotion Society.

Meanwhile, Ernesto José Gasco Gonzalo will assume the presidency of the Hipódromo de la Zarzuela, replacing Maritcha Ruiz Mateos. Gasco has a degree in Geography and History and a researcher in the Department of Urban Geography of the Autonomous University of Madrid.

Deputy Minister of Transport of the Basque Government in 2009, he has extensive experience in local administration in the San Sebastián City Council, where, among other responsibilities, he was first deputy mayor and councilor for Economic Development, Commerce and Tourism, and a director in several companies. of public management related to culture, urban planning, heritage and tourism. He has also been a deputy in the Congress of Deputies and High Commissioner for the Fight against Child Poverty.

Likewise, the SEPI has approved the appointment of José Tejero as president of Mayasa. Tejero Manzanares, a mechanical technical engineer by training, has a master's degree in agroindustrial plant design and management from the University of Córdoba. With extensive experience in management and administration in the AGE, autonomous communities and local administration, he is a full professor at the University of Castilla La Mancha since 1991.

He was Judicial Administrator of the Dehesa de Castilseras belonging to the company Minas de Almadén, from November 2002 to March 2004, and was councilor for Human Resources, Finance, Urban Planning and New Technologies in the Almadén City Council during the period 2003-2011.
