Santander launches the Friend Plan with bonuses of up to 500 euros for attracting new customers

Santander has completed, in this first week of July, the launch of its Friend Plan, aimed at individuals and the self-employed and which gives bonuses of up to 500 euros for attracting new customers to the entity.

Through this plan, any private customer over the age of 18 may invite a maximum of ten friends or acquaintances to open an account and direct deposit a salary, pension or recurring income for a minimum amount of 600 euros.

For each of these new incorporations, the client who acts as 'sponsor' will receive a bonus of 50 euros gross and the new client another of 150 euros or 350 euros gross in the event that the payroll, pension or recurring income is a minimum of 2,500 euros per month.

The client may invite their friends or relatives who are not bank clients to open a Santander Account, Santander Online Account, Collective Account, Justice Account, Universities Account or Private Banking Account and to direct deposit their income, with a minimum stay of 24 months.

The sponsor client will receive the bonus for a friend or relative when the latter has fulfilled the registration requirements as a new client and direct debit of income, the month after both are verified.

For his part, the sponsored client will receive his bonus, once the first ten days of the first month have elapsed, once the bank has verified the direct debit of the payroll, pension or recurring income.

For their part, existing clients or new clients who deposit their self-employed contribution to Social Security in a Santander account and who have a minimum annual income of 12,000 euros, will receive a bonus of 150 euros gross.

In this sense, the Friend Plan works in the same way and a sponsored person or new self-employed client who deposits his fee in Santander will cause his sponsor to receive a bonus of 50 euros gross.

This campaign, which will be in force until September 30, can be carried out in person at the bank's branch network or digitally, through the app or the website.

To do this, customers have to sign up for the Friend Plan, with which they will obtain their sponsor code, which they will have to share with their friends, family or acquaintances who are going to open an account with Santander.

During the first quarter of this year, Santander continued to increase its customer base, with an increase of 736,000 in the last 12 months, for which net deposits chained its nineteenth consecutive month of growth. Active customers registered an interannual increase of 354,000 and are already close to eight million.
