Russia accuses Ukraine of trying to assassinate Putin in a drone attack on the Kremlin

MADRID, 3 May. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Kremlin has accused Ukraine this Wednesday of an assassination attempt against Russian President Vladimir Putin, using two drones, while stressing that both devices were aimed at the headquarters of the Russian Presidency, without Kiev having spoken to the regard.

"The Kiev regime has made an attempt to attack the residence of the Russian president in the Kremlin tonight," he said, before noting that Putin has not been injured and that he continues to work normally. "The president of Russia has not been injured as a result of this terrorist act," he stressed.

"As a result of the appropriate actions of the Army and the special services through the use of radar systems, the devices have been put out of service," he stated, while adding that "there are no victims or material damage as a result of fragments falling in the courtyards of the Kremlin", as reported by the Russian news agency TASS.
