CCOO PV presents 61 measures, calls for the commitment of the PSOE with the reform of the system and a reinforcement of social dialogue

VALENCIA, 19 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of the Generalitat and PSPV candidate to repeat in office, Ximo Puig, has stressed that "the next legislature, not so much the regional one but the general one, must be one of the reformulation of the financing model."

This was stated after meeting this Wednesday with the general secretary of CCOO PV, Ana García, who has transferred to Puig the union's proposals for the next 28M elections, among which she has highlighted the commitment of the formation to the reform of the system of regional financing and the reinforcement of social dialogue.

On these issues, Puig has highlighted the role of social dialogue to ensure that the Community is "a benchmark in all of Spain in terms of stability and progress". Regarding financing, he pointed out that the system must be changed "under conditions that guarantee the equality of Spaniards" in order to achieve "a model that, on the one hand, meets the needs of the autonomous state as a whole, which is evaluated in a deficit of about 16,000 million euros and, on the other, distributes the resources in a different way".

The general secretary of the PSPV has stressed that "much progress has been made" in aspects such as the unity of the Valencians in the face of this issue and in the "visualization in Spain that the Valencian Community is under-financed and that a solution must be found". "That is why it is required of all the parties that are in the Congress of Deputies that they have a vision that is finally fair for Spain and the citizens, and that will undoubtedly be a fundamental point of what our strategy will be," Puig assured. .

In addition, Ximo Puig has pointed out that in recent years the resources from the central government have increased by 60% and that, when "there has also been a special situation" with the pandemic, it has been addressed "already according to the criteria of the model that we want ".

Ximo Puig and the general secretary of CCOO PV have held the first of the meetings that this union is holding this week with the candidates of PSPV, PP, Compromís and Unides Podem-EUPV to present the 61 measures that it considers to be priorities for the elections. In each of these meetings, depending on the party, the union will focus on certain issues.

In the case of the PSPV, Ana García has explained to the media that the union has placed special emphasis on regional financing.

"After the 28M elections, you have to continue betting on this change in the financing model. Today we have made progress in the line in which it can no longer be said that the Community is not underfinanced" and "efforts are being made from the budgets of the Generalitat based on a debt that we believe should also be reduced", he stated.

Secondly, García has focused on the need to "strengthen the social dialogue" that the unions and the Valencian government have maintained. The CCOO general secretary has valued examples of agreements reached in this legislature such as the Alcem-nos Plan and the Reactiva.

In addition, during the meeting, Ana García has transferred to the 'president' other proposals for "the economic and social development of the Community, which can allow the creation of stable employment, decent work, and that the group of workers and citizens can develop their life projects in their autonomous community".

He explained that the proposals, divided into five blocks, affect aspects such as participatory democracy, job creation and the reinforcement of public services.
