Podemos candidate continues tonight the confinement at the Gijón headquarters to demand that the regional list be respected

OVIEDO, 21 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Podemos Asturies candidate for the Presidency of the Principality, Covadonga Tomé, has decided to continue tonight with the confinement that began this Thursday with several colleagues at the local headquarters of Podemos in Gijón to demand that the party leadership respect the electoral list which won the support of more than 60 percent of the militants.

Tomé assures that the confinement will continue until he has the guarantee that the list that is formally presented "is the one voted for by the militants", in reference to the one that includes Jorge Fernández in number four and not Ana Taboada as the leadership of the game. He also calls for an end to the policy of "unjustified" sanctions and expulsions.

This Friday both the general secretary of Podemos, Ione Belarra, and the spokesperson for Podemos in the General Board of the Principality of Asturias and currently at the head of the regional direction of the purple formation in Asturias, Rafael Palacios, have made statements about the request for Tomé and his confinement in the Gijon headquarters of Podemos.

Palacios has urged the party's candidate for the Presidency of Asturias in the next regional elections to "assume that she is the candidate and to stop looking for excuses to break the organization."

For his part, Belarra asked Tomé to "campaign" because he has "the support of the organization in Asturias and at the state level." "Let's all go out together to obtain the best possible results, which is the best for Asturians," Belarra said in Toledo when asked about the situation in Asturias.

Covadonga Tomé maintains that beyond public statements, he has not maintained direct communication with Belarra or with the regional leadership.
