Pilar Alegría says that the socialists have "zero tolerance" for corruption, but they will not accept "lessons" from the PP

BARAKALDO (BIZKAIA), 25 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Government spokesperson and Minister of Education, Pilar Alegría, has advocated for "zero tolerance for corruption and the corrupt, wherever they come from and whoever they are", but has warned that they will not accept lessons from the PP, "a party that continues decisions from a headquarters paid for with money B".

Alegría spoke this Sunday at an event organized by the PSE-EE in Barakaldo in which she presented the candidacies for the next Basque elections on April 21. The general secretary of the PSE-EE and candidate for lehendakari, Eneko Andueza, also took part in the meeting, along with the heads of the list for Gipuzkoa, Denis Itxaso, and Álava, Aroa Jilete.

In her speech, the spokesperson for the Executive stressed that the current legislature "has not been easy", but she highlighted the socialist contribution to the Basque Executive, "responding to people's problems".

On the other hand, he has defended that socialists are "the only ones who practice dialogue with everyone", being aware that we live "in a plural society." "We have always been in the right place in history," he said.

In this context, he warned that "the Basques do not deserve only continuous projects" but rather look to the future "with hope." "If there is a useful left, with the capacity to lead change, it is the PSE-EE," he said.

He has also warned that the "right" wants to "create a storm and only hear noise and lies" so that they will try to make citizens "not aware of" the socialist project.

"This government came with the maximum commitment to transparency and the fight against corruption and that principle remains firm. The Socialist Party does not hide, it shows its face, it is a party with ethics, principles and is full of honest people, implacable in the face of corruption with unbreakable principles," he highlighted.

In this sense, he has stressed that they will always collaborate with justice "in favor of transparency." "Zero tolerance for corruption and the corrupt wherever they come from, whoever they are," he added.

However, he has assured that the socialists will never have to "destroy computers with hammers or generate espionage plots." "The PSOE will never be taught lessons by a party that makes decisions from a headquarters paid for with B money... The PP will never teach us lessons," he assured.
