Patxi López advises Sémper to "stop fooling around" by appealing to the support of socialists: "In no way"

On Page's criticism of Puigdemont: "One is not in politics to please oneself, but to do what must be done at all times"

MADRID, 23 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The PSOE spokesman in Congress, Patxi López, has advised the PP leader Borja Sémper to "stop playing the fool" by appealing to possible support from Socialists for the investiture of Alberto Núñez Feijóo, guaranteeing that no member of the group who he directs in the Lower House will allow "by action or omission" that the PP govern.

This is how the socialist leader has pronounced himself in an interview in La Sexta, collected by Europa Press, about these words by Borja Sémper in which he referred to the support of the socialists for the investiture of Feijóo to go ahead.

"What I can assure you is that no socialist is going to allow, by action or omission, that the extreme right in this country decide the policies of the Spanish government. Sure," Patxi López replied to these statements by Sémper.

In addition, he has recognized that he is "very fond of him", but has recommended him to "stop fooling around": "Because I have been a PSOE all my life and there will not be, in any way, what they are saying" .

He has also spoken out about the criticism of the president of Castilla-La Mancha, the socialist baron Emiliano García-Page, of Junts' support for the votes of the Table of Congress and before a future vote in favor for a hypothetical investiture of Sánchez.

Specifically, Page spoke about how he did not like having to depend on the former president of the Generalitat Carles Puigdemont, to which Patxi López said that "you can like one thing or another, but you are not in politics to please yourself, but to do what needs to be done at all times".

"And the PSOE at this moment is looking for an investiture so that there is a progressive government and this country continues to advance and it is not going to allow any of the ways that there is a right-wing government to carry out ultra-right policies," he has sentenced.
