Montero says that Puigdemont's accusation does not cause "interference" in the amnesty negotiation with Junts

He says that "there is no surprise" in the Justice investigations

The first vice president of the Government and Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, has assured that the accusation of terrorism against the former president of the Generalitat, Carles Puigdemont, by the Supreme Court "does not cause any interference" in the negotiations of the amnesty law with Together.

He said this this Friday in statements to the press together with the special delegate of the State, Pere Navarro, before visiting the DFactory of the Barcelona Free Trade Zone Consortium (CZFB).

Montero has indicated that "there is no surprise" regarding the investigations being carried out by the Justice Department and has reiterated the Government's respect for the work of judges and prosecutors.

He has emphasized that the Government sees it as essential to approve the Amnesty Law "to turn the page on the tragic and regrettable events" of 2017.

In any case, he stressed that "this country knows perfectly well what terrorism is and what is not" and that is why the Government continues to work on, literally, this project to normalize coexistence in Catalonia.

Montero explained that the Government is working on the design of the second phase of the DFactory, in order to be able to extend the experience to new productive sectors.

He has assured that the first phase has been a success and that work must continue in the second phase to consolidate projects and incorporate entrepreneurs and SMEs.

For this reason, he said that they will continue to "invite" the Generalitat and Barcelona City Council to participate in the projects that are being developed at the facilities.
