Mónica García acknowledges her "mistake" and says that she will study how to return the money from the bonus for vulnerable consumers

The leader of Más Madrid, Mónica García, has recognized her "mistake" and assures that she is going to study how to return the money that her family received from the bonus for vulnerable consumers after this Wednesday she requested the resignation of the vice president of the Community of Madrid , Enrique Ossorio, after learning that he receives this same aid.

After the controversy that arose around this matter, García explained that she did not know that she had received the single payment of 195 euros a year for being a large family and that it took her "hours" to find out.

"The first one surprised is me," he admitted this Wednesday in an interview on Cadena Ser, collected by Europa Press, in which he recognized his mistake and insisted that he does not need that money.

"I do not make any excuse, I recognize the error. I do not want to collect that, I do not need it. I defend the income criteria and all this seems regressive to us. I am going to study if there is a way to return it to the central government. I do not need it. I have spent all the time day inquiring and I have found out that this is charged by 130,000 households in the Community of Madrid. Mr. Ossorio and I cannot collect it," he explained.

Thus, he has clarified that he reacted "out of indignation" upon learning that Ossorio received this bonus and has insisted that he found out "automatically" from his family. "I don't like that. I don't need it," she added.

At this point, the leader of Más Madrid has stressed that she shares an account with her husband although he manages them and that it has been difficult for her to "get to the receipt" since she received that aid in December 2022 when it corresponded to 2021. "It is a regressive measure (...) I had no idea that I was receiving it. It's just that it doesn't put it," he said.

Therefore, he has charged again against the vice president of the Community, who says that "if he had that information, it is because he will have been investigating." "Ossorio says that he is going to take all the aid that the Government gives him. I don't need it," he has once again influenced.

"I think that we have asked for the resignation of Mr. Ossorio on many occasions due to his lack of public ethics.
