Junts says that the amnesty includes the crimes of terrorism and treason adapted to Europe and not to the Spanish Penal Code

BARCELONA, 6 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The amnesty law agreed by PSOE, Junts and ERC includes the crimes of terrorism and treason adapted to European standards and not to the Spanish Penal Code, according to Junts sources.

This is stated after the agreement reached between the parties which, in a joint statement, states that it will cover "all people linked to the independence process."

In fact, the aforementioned Junts sources add that it is "a comprehensive law, which includes everyone and is immediately applicable."

They also point out that the agreed text includes the main recommendations of the Venice Commission, also in the crime of embezzlement, which is why they consider that they have "reinforced" the law.

In addition, the rule will cover all those affected by the independence process as of November 1, 2011 - in the previous text it was January 1, 2012 -, which will include "all those accused of the Court of Accounts ".

"Judges who do not want to apply this law will have to prevaricate," stand out from Junts, who claim that their role will allow us to have a law with guarantees.

And, according to the independence party, they have been able to introduce into the law all the improvements of the Venice Commission.

"Now we have before us a law in accordance with the standards of international law and prepared for the European journey," add the Junts sources, who assure that a comprehensive law will be voted on and that it does not leave anyone out.
