The first secretary of the PSC, Salvador Illa, has been in favor of there being "elements that help generate trust" when asked about Junts' demand to include a mediator in the negotiations between Catalonia and the Government. Regarding the dialogue table, he has indicated that there will be those who reproach that he should have gone further, but in his opinion it has worked and has led to a "positive" agreement.

Illa has also warned that in Catalonia we still have to open a "dialogue between Catalans", as was also agreed in the last investiture agreement of the now acting president and socialist candidate for re-election, Pedro Sánchez.
