Garriga (Vox) says that support for Feijóo has not changed but warns: "You cannot get votes in exchange for offenses"

He affirms that the Vox telephone is still open for the PP and stresses that they are a "reliable" and "essential" partner

MADRID, 18 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The general secretary of Vox, Ignacio Garriga, has indicated this Friday that his party's support for an eventual investiture of the PP candidate, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, "has not" changed. However, he has warned the 'popular' that they cannot claim to get "votes in exchange for offenses".

Garriga, who has reproached the 'popular' for the gesture of "contempt and arrogance" of not providing Vox with a position on the Congress Table, has assured that they remain "willing" to support an investiture by Feijóo, because they are "people of word".

This Thursday, the PP informed Vox that it was not going to contribute to achieving a position on the Congress Table, so the 33 deputies of the group chaired by Santiago Abascal voted for their own candidate for the Presidency, the deputy Ignacio Gil Lázaro , and not the candidate of the PP, Cuca Gamarra. The same situation occurred later in the vice-presidency vote.

Thus, in an interview on Telecinco, collected by Europa Press, the Vox leader has demanded explanations from the PP and has asked them if they prefer the "self-sufficiency" formula of Murcia, where the 'popular' refuse to agree, or work jointly and follow the "very fruitful" model of Aragon, the Valencian Community, Extremadura or the Balearic Islands, where they govern in coalition.

"What Mr. Feijóo cannot claim is to obtain votes in exchange for offenses", Garriga has made ugly, who has been surprised by the attitude of the PP and has called on them to "return to the path of patriotism, generosity and responsibility ".

In this sense, he has indicated that the Vox telephone number, which is a "reliable" and "essential" partner, is open to speak with the PP. "It is not our fault," Garriga has defended, pointing out that it was "parliamentary logic" that they were given a position on the Board.

He stressed that Vox "does not give away their votes" and has urged prioritizing general interests over partisan ones to prevent the socialist Pedro Sánchez from repeating himself in the government "supported" by the pro-independence parties, who will not mind giving up amnesty and a referendum , has considered.
