First images of Princess Leonor at the General Military Academy of Zaragoza

The Casa del Rey has distributed this Friday the first images of Princess Leonor at the General Military Academy of Zaragoza, where she will attend the first stage of the studies corresponding to her military training that will conclude in July 2024, with her appointment as Lady Ensign Cadet.

In the images, corresponding to her first day at the Academy, as Zarzuela has specified, the Princess of Asturias appears in uniform, receiving her individual combatant equipment, beginning her instruction in the Army and in her first theoretical classes of military training.

Leonor is going to carry out three years of military training, which will prepare her, after passing through the academies of the Army, the Air Force and the Navy, to become in the future, once she is queen, the general captain of the Armed Forces , as dictated by the Constitution. During that time, she will go through the Naval School of Marín (Pontevedra).

The Princess of Asturias arrived this Thursday, August 17, at the Zaragoza Military Academy together with the King and Queen and her sister, the Infanta Sofía.

The usual schedule for AGM students is, at 6.30 am, the reveille. Next, breakfast. Classes start at 7.45 am, including theoretical training and physical training. The dining room opens at 2:00 p.m. It has a self-service system, with a single menu for everyone, consisting of a first and second course and various desserts to choose from.

In the afternoons, students have activities and study hours, and they also have free time. Dinner begins at 8:00 p.m., there is a night control at 10:30 p.m. and silence at 11:00 p.m., although you can study at night, either in your room or in the classroom.

Once they have taken the pledge of allegiance, students can leave the AGM in the afternoons, although they usually do not because the academic program is intense and a priority. On weekends it also has a departure schedule.
